About Diane

Diane first became interested in home relocation when assisting her 90-year-old parents in moving to a Senior Living Community. Seeing her parents concerned about working with trustworthy and reliable people made living three hours away challenging. It became apparent this was an issue for many when she began working professionally within the senior segment. After relocating to South Florida, she reconnected with Susan, one of her long-time friends from high school who also worked with seniors. Together, they became determined to make a difference: they paired their high standards of work ethic and strong moral values to offer services defined by integrity as well as creating fun and exciting memories along the way.

In her past life, she worked in her husband’s family-owned cabinet door and furniture manufacturing company in Northeastern PA where she ate, breathed, and bled kitchen design for homeowners. (Wood is still her love language!) Originally hailing from Chicago (Go Cubs and Bears), her family made their way to North Carolina where she played volleyball at NC State—and also took pride in coaching young high school and collegiate young women in the sport she fell in love with so many years ago. Sports are her other love language. Her true joy in life are found in her beautiful family, her “91 year young” parents—who are still her mentors and role models to this day—five siblings, three children, adventure-loving grandson, her handsome Black Lab, and some of the best friends that life can offer.

About Susan

Co-owner Susan, a veteran of the Florida luxury real estate industry, first observed the same phenomenon when it came to finding dependable, ethical help for relocating; her clients often found themselves in a similar situation. Whether coming to or leaving the state of Florida, downsizing to a smaller home, handling the family affairs of clearing out a property, or assisting in the transitioning to a senior living community – there was a clear need for a team of trustworthy women on the ground who could help make these transitions seamless—and dare we say it, fun. Like Diane, Susan is also professionally accredited with NASMM (National Association of Senior Moving Managers), and starting True Transitions was par for the course. She is a proud lifelong entrepreneur, having launched her first business at the age of 26. One of her first and favorite ventures was owning and operating a Christmas Tree/Holiday Lighting business in Southern California with her husband, which spanned long enough to sell to the 2nd generation of families that returned year after year. Fun fact about Susan: her last name is Italian and was originally pronounced “Ghit-zee.” This explains why her love language is Italian food: cooking it, enjoying it, and making masterpieces for her family and friends.

Her love of people is deeply grounded in her Italian heritage. Along with her 5 siblings and 2 daughters, family events are common and always blessed with the best Italian food as well as great stories and laughter. Her faithful companion Macy, her loyal Weimaraner, keeps her busy and entertained on the daily!
